Benjamin is currently working towards a PhD in Law and Society at the University of Victoria. Born and raised in London, England, Benjamin completed his MA in International and Comparative Legal Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, in 2012. Before arriving at the UVic in 2014, Benjamin interned with Amnesty International’s Asia-Pacific Program, and a traineeship with the European Union Delegation to Cambodia. His current research aims to develop an interdisciplinary, empirical, and locally engaged approach to the study constitutionalism in Southeast Asia, and is co-supervised by CAPI’s Law Chair, Victor Ramraj, and Simon Springer (Geography).
