Claire Horwood is currently working towards a BA in Gender Studies at the University of Victoria and holds a diploma in Environmental Technology from Camosun College. She is particularly interested in human rights, migration and refugee issues, and is currently completing a capstone project on the importance of art in the lives of refugee children living in the context of the Al Za'atari refugee camp in Northern Jordan. For her internship, Claire will be working as a program assistant with the Malaysian Social Research Institute (MSRI) in Kuala Lumpur. She is excited and grateful to be interning at MSRI as part of the CAPI program.
