Taiwo Okunola Afolabi is a theatre practitioner; an alumnus of the United States International Visitor Leadership Program, founder of Theatre Emissary International and he has undertaken both artistic and research projects in China, Burkina Faso, Denmark, Nigeria, Sudan and the United States. He graduated from the University of Jos and he is currently a Queen Elizabeth Scholar at the University of Victoria, Canada for his doctoral studies in applied theatre. His research focuses on migration, refugees, internally displaced persons, theatre and the rhetoric of border displacement for citizen participation.
