Rasheedah is in her final year completing a Bachelors of Art in History with a minor in Pacific and Asian Studies at the University of Victoria. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Rasheedah has always been interested in cultural diversity and its impact on different nations. While her focus on 17th century British history focuses on religious segregation, her interest in modern day Japan centers on how the impact of Globalization has influenced the nation public policy.  While aspiring to become an immigration lawyer, Rasheedah will examine the attribution urbanization has on the displacement of individuals. Rasheedah will be working for CITYNET, in Yokohama, Japan this fall as a program assistant. She is both excited and grateful to CAPI and CITYNET for the opportunity to apply her studies and be a part of this multinational organization.
