Rachel Barr is ecstatic to be a CAPI intern. She has a diploma in sexual health education and is currently pursing a degree in gender studies. She has lived in Victoria for seven years so officially considers it her home but grew up in the Okanagan. Rahcel has always been super interested in social justice issues locally and internationally particularly issues around gender, sexual health, and governance. During her time at Uvic she has been involved in the campus community by holding positions as the Director of External Relations for the UVSS, board member for the Third Space, and a volunteer for the Anti-Violence Project. In her spare time, she loves to hike, dance (so much dancing), watch documentaries, and have a good laugh with friends. She feels incredibly privileged to be a CAPI intern and work for PRIA in India. Rachel is so excited about all the opportunities for learning and building relationships.
