Helen Kirk

Helen Kirk is interested in local star formation, particularly at submillimetre and radio wavelengths. Her research includes analysis of dense gas structures (cores and filaments), clustering, dynamics, and some astrochemistry. She is also interested in the comparison between observations and predictions from simulations, creating synthetic observations from the simulations to make better comparisons and predictions. She is currently working with the Millimetre Astronomy Group to make ALMA data more accessible to Canadian astronomers.
