Bio
The NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Optical Design, Prof. Thibault’s expertise in optical design and testing is unique in Canada. Dr Thibault has designed and built more than 200 optical systems ranging from space astronomical optical system to miniature cell phone camera module and medical endoscopes. He has developed a strong network with industries and research laboratories by providing optical engineering expertise. He was involved during the last few years in GPI, Sitelle, SPIROU and more recently in NIRPS. He leads the development of an optical platform to test space and astronomical optical system on a balloon experiment under CSA funding.
