Who is the Office of the Registrar?
The Office of the Registrar focuses on providing outstanding service and support to students, parents, faculty, staff, external agencies and the educational community.
Staff maintain the highest levels of accuracy while providing complete and prompt response and service.
Our units work collaboratively with the academic community on activities such as Senate Committees support and policy review.
The units in the Office of the Registrar also provide assistance with the interpretation of university calendar regulations relating to their operation.
Undergraduate Admissions
We take care of future undergraduate students through the application process from admission requirements to accepting your offer.
Graduate Admissions & Records
We handle the administrative needs of graduate students from application to graduation.
Student Support Services
Student support from academic concessions and name changes to transcript orders, exams and transfer credits is handled here.
Student Awards & Financial Aid
We provide information about scholarships, bursaries, the work-study program, government student assistance, emergency loans and budgeting.
Undergraduate Records
Once a student has been admitted, their administration is taken care of by this unit.
Graduation Services
We produce degree parchments and other types of graduation documentation
Registrar Information Systems
We provide support for Student related information systems, staff training, ad hoc reporting, and facilitate academic scheduling
Curriculum & Calendar
UVic policies, programs and courses are found in the academic calendar, handled by the Curriculum and Calendar unit.
