UVic vaccination survey results

From Aug. 25 to 29, UVic conducted a confidential survey on vaccination rates in the UVic community. Thank you to the more than 9,400 respondents who completed the survey and helped us plan for UVic’s vaccination clinics and testing program.

Of those who responded, 8,300 were students and 1,100 were faculty and staff—a response rate of 38% for registered students for the fall term and approximately one quarter of regular continuing faculty and staff.

Survey results for UVic community

  • 95.4% either fully vaccinated or partially vaccinated
  • 1.5% not presently vaccinated, but planning to be vaccinated
  • 1.9% not vaccinated and not planning to be vaccinated
  • 1.2% of respondents chose not to disclose their status

The vaccination rate of the UVic community (almost 97% fully, partially or planned) exceeds levels commonly reported at local, regional, provincial and national levels. While sample selection bias is possible with any survey, the large number of respondents means that these survey results are representative and the results are statistically significant.

Vaccination clinics

If you have not yet had the opportunity to be fully vaccinated, drop in to a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on campus.
