University flag to be lowered for National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
The university flag will remain lowered on Friday, Dec. 6 to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women and continued half-masting for the death of John Horgan, the 36th Premier of British Columbia.
On Dec. 6, we remember the murder of 14 young women at Polytechnique Montréal 30 years ago. It's an opportunity to reflect on this tragedy, and to reaffirm our commitment to fight the hatred and misogyny that still exists today.
