SSHRC student storytellers sought for 2014

Social Sciences, Humanities

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) has launched its second annual Research for a Better life: The Storytellers challenge, a competition designed to support and promote excellence in research communications. It challenges postsecondary students to submit a three-minute pitch describing an innovative, SSHRC-funded research project being carried out at their university. Students may submit entries in the medium of their choice from among text, video, audio and infographic. The top 25 submissions will receive $3,000, an invitation to a special communications workshop at Congress 2014 at Brock University and the chance to deliver their pitch in to a live audience at the Storytellers Showcase at Congress. Submissions will be accepted until January 15. More: www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca/storytellers
