University flag to be lowered in honour of linguist Barbara Harris

University flag to be lowered in honour of former faculty member. The university flag will be lowered on Friday, May 23, 2014 in honour of Dr. Barbara Harris.  Dr. Harris received her MA and PhD in linguistics at UVic. She taught in the linguistics department, and also served as graduate advisor and as department chair.

A memorial service for Dr. Harris will be held on Friday, May 23 at 10:30 in UVic's Interfaith Chapel.
