Three UVic Librarians have received two of the three available annual research in librarianship grants from the Canadian Association of Research Libraries. The CARL Research in Librarianship Grant is intended to support projects involving structured, evidence-based research in libraries that propose answers to real-world issues. Librarian researchers include Rebecca Raworth (University of Victoria) and Lindsay Glynn (Memorial University) for their project “Academic Librarians’ Potential Roles in Learning Communities to Support Student Scholarship and Research Learning Outcomes / Competencies: an Exploration Within Medical Education”, and Shailoo Bedi and Christine Walde (University of Victoria) for their project exploring the roles of librarians in research teams.
