Expert on Canada-EU trade deal

The following University of Victoria faculty member is available to discuss the tentative trade deal signed by Canada and the 28-member European Union on Oct. 18:

Amy Verdun (Political Science) is an expert on the European Union, specifically the interaction between the EU and Canada, European integration studies and the international political economy. Dr. Verdun can comment on the implications of this new trade agreement, and speak to what might be benefits and costs for both Canada and the EU. She is a Jean Monnet Chair at UVic, professor of political science, and author or editor of 17 books including the recent Mapping European Economic Integration (Houndmills: Palgrave-Macmillan, 2013) and Ruling Europe: The Politics of the Stability and Growth Pact with Martin Heipertz (Cambridge University Press, 2010).
