Napoleon to teach at peacebuilding school

Val Napoleon has been selected to teach a one-week intensive course as part of the Canadian School of Peacebuilding (CSOP), an annual summer program of Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg. Napoleon, who was appointed the Law Foundation Professor of Aboriginal Justice and Governance in UVic’s law faculty in January 2012, will teach “Human Rights and Indigenous Legal Traditions” in the 2013 program’s first session June 17–21. The CSOP aims to educate on peace and justice issues and encourage discussion in a collaborative environment.
