Dr. Abdul Roudsari: Appointed director

Dr. Abdul Roudsari is the new director of the School of Health Information Science. Before joining UVic, Roudsari taught at a number of post-secondary institutions in the United Kingdom and most recently as a professor of health informatics and director of the Centre for Health Informatics at City University London. His current research focuses on electronic health care, telecare, e-health and advanced methods for the acquisition, processing and interpretation of data from the electronic patient record. As a member of the UK Council for Health Informatics Professions, he is committed to promoting the evolution of health informatics as a key profession within the health service field.
