Expert on Federal Court ruling on refugee health cuts

The following University of Victoria faculty members are available to discuss the recent Federal Court decision to overturn the Conservative government’s cuts to refugee health care funding.

Donald Galloway (Law) specializes in immigration law, refugee law and citizenship law. He’s a former member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and former co-chair of the Legal Research Committee of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers (CARL), as well as a member of the management committee of the Refugee Research Network. He’s available to speak on the history of immigration and refugee policy in Canada, Canadian efforts to deal with asylum-seekers, as well as the implications of Judge Mactavish's ruling.
