Experts on public health impacts of gambling

The following University of Victoria experts are available to discuss today’s report, a collaboration between the provincial health officer and UVic’s Centre for Addictions Research, on the public health effects of gambling in British Columbia:

Gerald Thomas (CARBC) is an affiliate researcher with UVic’s Centre for Addictions Research and the lead author of today’s report from the provincial health officer. He can discuss the findings of the report including its recommendations and is available for interviews after the launch at 3 p.m. today and all day Thursday. Dan Reist (CARBC), assistant director at UVic’s Centre for Addictions Research, has contributed to policy dialogues in BC related to substance use and addictive behaviours and has represented BC in many national and international discussions.
