Experts on BC provincial election

The following five University of Victoria faculty members are available to comment on various aspects of the 2013 BC election:

Elisabeth Gugl (Department of Economics) is an economist who teaches in the areas of labour economics, public finance and microeconomic theory. She studies family economics and the decision-making that takes place within families. James Lawson (Department of Political Science) is an expert on issues related to Canadian politics and environmental policy. He can comment on the concern in BC over food security, the forest sector (including health and safety), recent pipeline controversies, and engagement with Indigenous land and resource rights. Michael J. Prince (Faculty of Human & Social Development), UVic’s Lansdowne Professor of Social Policy, is an expert on federal-provincial relations, income security and Community Living BC. He can discuss many policy areas, including disability support, economic reform, social issues, housing and seniors, as well as partisan/party politics. Janni Aragon (Department of Political Science) teaches in the areas of gender and politics, gender and international relations, American politics, feminist theories and methodologies, youth and politics, as well as women and technology.
