- One of the most integral parts of student life in Uppsala are the student nations. There are 13 nations, each dating back to the 17th century. All nations have a café, pub or restaurant, and popular nation activities include club nights, formal dinners, balls and musical events.

- At Uppsala University, support for reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia, mental disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, hearing impairment, visual impairment, physical disabilities or chronic illnesses can be provided to all students, including those on exchange.
