  • One of the most integral parts of student life in Uppsala are the student nations. There are 13 nations, each dating back to the 17th century. All nations have a café, pub or restaurant, and popular nation activities include club nights, formal dinners, balls and musical events.

  •  At Uppsala University, support for reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia, mental disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, hearing impairment, visual impairment, physical disabilities or chronic illnesses can be provided to all students, including those on exchange. To receive support, students must provide evidence of disability directly to the Uppsala University's disability coordinators.

As an exchange student, you are often given priority for student housing administered by Uppsala University Housing Office. We recommend you apply for housing this way, considering the difficulties in finding temporary housing that both Uppsala and Visby present.
