  • UniSA has multiple campuses (City East, City West, Magill, Mawson Lakes) home to different faculties. Exchange students can study courses across faculties and campuses, however, when choosing courses, please pay attention to the campus where the course is being taught as you may need to consider travel time. We suggest that you select courses offered at no more than two different campuses!

Housing

    • Please check out the UniSA Accommodation Services website for more details on private rental, shared houses, fullboard and homestay. Some students opt to share an apartment by the beach, whereas other students might choose to live in the centre of the city or close to campus.

Immigration, Medical Insurance & Arrival

Visa:

  • Students are required to apply for a student visa to study in Australia, after you are accepted to study at the University of South Australia, they will send you instructions and the required documents to apply for a student visa. You can learn more at the student visa information page.

Orientation:

  • Please ensure you arrive in time to attend orientation, as it is compulsory at UniSA. More information about orientation will be sent via email, after you have accepted your place at UniSA. 

Medical Insurance: 

  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is mandatory for students studying in Australia. International students are required to provide evidence of OSHC for the duration of their student visa at the time of visa application.

Fees:

  • A mandatory Student Services and Amenities Fee CSSAF) is to support services of a non-academic nature. You will be invoiced for this after your studies have commenced and enrolments confirmed. The fee for full-time exchange students is $175.50 AUD/semester.
