Tim Personn is a PhD student in English. He holds a Staatsexamen ("with distinction") in Philosophy and English from Universität Hamburg, Germany (2010). He is a Fulbright alumni (2007-2008) and a Vanier scholar (2013-2016), as well as a writer, translator, and musician. He has research interests in literature/philosophy, 20th/21st Century American fiction, theories of the avant-garde, and affective attitudes in/towards reading.
