Area of expertise

Germanic Studies

I studied Language & Communication (BA), German as a foreign language (MA) and Speech Science (Phonetics) (MA) at the Philipps-University of Marburg, Germany. In 2018, after my studies, I started to work as a research assistant in the departments of Phonetics and German as a foreign language at the same University.

At the same time, I also started teaching my first German courses. I have always been enjoying to teach all aspects of German as my native language but my favorite part has been to help students improve their pronunciation. In June 2020, me and one of my work colleagues even gave workshop for other German teachers about teaching pronunciation which was co-organized and supported by the DAAD Argentina.

As a research assistant in the department of German as a foreign language at the Philipps-University of Marburg, I worked in an online program through which German teachers could acquire the official certificate to be allowed to teach in German integration courses. In the department of Phonetics, I was involved in a study that investigated if speakers of a dialect benefit from the same cognitive advantages as bilingual speakers. Besides, I taught an introduction to Phonetics as part of the curriculum of the study program Language and Communication (BA).
