Professional Information

Dr. Warburton is interested in the use of research evidence to inform public policy and improve the delivery of health care and other government services. Dr. Warburton joined the School as an Assistant Professor in 1999, having previously been a half-time Visiting Assistant Professor for the 1998/99 academic year. She is a health economist, and worked for the British Columbia provincial government from 1982-1997 and 2009-2012. Her government experience included two years at Treasury Board staff, and 13 years at the Ministry of Health, working in both policy and research positions. Professor Warburton is committed to helping prepare MPA students to become excellent civil servants and public sector managers.
