Neil Griffin is a poet, essayist, and former wildlife biologist. He is the author of a poetry chapbook, Juan de Fuca: An Eclogue, and a previous finalist for CBC's Poetry Prize and an Alberta Magazine Award. His writing has appeared in Canada in freefall, This Side of West, and on CBC Books, and published internationally in France, Poland and the Netherlands. He is a member of the literary cooperative The New Twenties, and a regular contributor to their magazine of the same name. His work includes ecocriticism, travel, and nature writing, all centered around exploring the historic and contemporary relationships between people and their environments. He mostly writes at night, mostly.
