Amber was born and raised in the Okanagan Valley on unceded Syilx territory and received her BA from UBC Okanagan. Her fiction and creative nonfiction has appeared in Perhappened, Complete Sentence, Glitchwords Microzine, and elsewhere. She was recently shortlisted for the Okanagan Short Story Contest and was the winner of the 2022 UBCO Creative Writing Prize. Her areas of interest include death, disability, and how those states affect interpersonal relationships.
When she's not writing she can be found rewatching old seasons of Survivor.
