Hana Mason is a Victoria-based writer from Calgary. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing from the University of Victoria in 2020. While at UVic, she served as Managing Editor and later Editor-in-Chief of This Side of West. She is a founding executive and EIC of Over/Exposed Lit, a graduate student-run experimental literary magazine. Her fiction and poetry have been published in various venues in Canada and the United States, including Little Fiction, Riddle Fence, Carousel, carte blanche, Room and Prism International. 

Her work focuses on intertwining relationship dynamics, desire, self-discovery, and sense of place. When she isn’t writing, you can find her trying to teach herself guitar, reading her friends’ tarot or contemplating getting another coffee.
