Krista Wallace is an author, actor, vocalist, and musical director who graduated in 1989 with a specialization in acting. Now married to Phoenix grad Matt Lees (BFA’90), she recently played the role of Mrs. Pearce in the Royal City Musical Theatre production of My Fair Lady in 2015 and continues to act, most frequently for the University of British Columbia’s Standardized Patient programme. As a vocalist, Krista had a rock cover band for a dozen years and still performs as a vocalist in the FAT Jazz big band. She has worked as a musical director for several middle school and high school productions including Anything Goes, In the Heights, Urinetown, Les Miserables, and Hairspray.

Recently, Krista’s primary focus has been on her writing. Predominantly focused on the genre of fantasy, she is working on publishing her novels, has published two short stories and she’s won or been a finalist in several contests. Most recently, her contemporary comedic fantasy was a Finalist in the Colorado Gold contest through Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and she also just finished narrating her first audiobook (with a contract signed for another!).
