After graduating from UVic, Tim Machin (BFA’89) moved to London England to pursue his two passions - music and theatre. While living and working there for 15 years, career highlights include touring the UK with The Reduced Shakespeare Company with fellow UVic alumna Megan Dennis and a production on the Fringe in London directed by UVic MFA directing alumnus James Forsythe. Other highlights include Weekly Rep at Frinton On Sea and tours of Europe, playing the role of McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and Sherlock Holmes in The Murder of Sherlock Holmes, while also recording a number of audiobooks.

Tim met his wife, fellow Canadian actor Sarah Gale, during his time in London. The two were married at St James Piccadilly and after the birth of their first son they moved back to Toronto. Since returning to Canada in 2006, Tim has worked all over the country with companies such as Catalyst Theatre in Edmonton, Caravan Farm Theatre, Chemainus Theatre, as well as in Ontario Driftwood Theatre Group and Humber River Shakespeare, performing Shakespeare in parks.

Tim also has a band called "Sing Along Tim and The Pacifiers,” a group that plays fully interactive folk rock for families. They have toured all over Ontario including performing with Bram Morrison from Sharon, Lois & Bram at The Mariposa Folk Festival, Montreal Folk Festival, Wee Festival of Theatre and Culture for Early Years, and Sioux Lookout Canada Day Celebrations. His song "The Booger Song" won the Stingray Songs From The Heart Best Children's Song at this year's Folk Music Ontario Conference.

He currently lives in Toronto with his beautiful wife, two children Joey and Charlie, and cat Jemima.
