Deanne May Bertsch is a choreographer and educator based in Alberta, Canada. While at the Phoenix, Bertsch specialized in Production & Mangement and Acting and received her BFA in 1992.

Two years after graduating from the Phoenix, she began acting and choreographing for Rosebud Theatre, as well as directing and teaching for Rosebud School of the Arts. Additionally, she has choreographed for Burnt Thicket Theatre and The Canadian Badlands Passion Play.

Now living in north of Rosebud with her twin daughters, Bertsch teaches drama, dance, choir and Blackfoot at Strathmore High in Alberta. Recently, she has been touring a show about residential schools created by Blackfoot and non-Blackfoot students called New Blood. To learn more about New Blood, visit www.newblooddance.com
