Originally from Saskatoon, Jeffrey Pufahl (MFA'12) now lives in Florida where he runs the outreach theatre program for the University of Florida's prestigious Centre for Arts in Medicine. With over 25 years professional experience in Musical Theatre, Opera, Film and Television, Jeffrey's practice has shifted to Applied Theatre with a focus on Community Health. 

Pufahl trained in directing at the University of Victoria (MFA), musical theatre performance at the Cincinnati Conservatory (MFA), and voice/music at McGill University (B.Mus).  Additionally, he has trained with Anne Bogart and the SITI Company in the Viewpoints and Suzuki methods.  

His varied career has taken him across Canada, the US and the UK as an actor, director, producer, writer, educator, and event coordinator in Musical Theatre, Drama, Fringe Theatre, Opera and Film. As a performer, he’s been featured Off Broadway and with theatre companies such as Persephone Theatre, Bluebridge Repertory Theatre, and the Globe Theatre. Pufahl has written several musical works including Caberlesque!, a show that has enjoyed over 100 performances in 11 cities across Canada. Additionally, his work as an educator has involved him teaching acting, singing, musical theatre, and yoga.

Currently, Pufahl is living in Gainesville, Florida and is the Director of Outreach Theatre for the Center for Arts in Medicine at the University of Florida. 

An avid traveler, Jeff has visited countries around the globe and speaks French and Spanish.  He is a certified Yoga Instructor and Transformational Breathing Facilitator.
