Lani Milstein (BFA'02) is the General Manager of Starvox Entertainment, a commercial production company that produces multi-disciplinary performing arts shows in Toronto and internationally. Recent highlights include: the creative refresh of the Las Vegas hit "Jubilee" alongside mega-star Beyoncé's creative team; two successful off-Broadway runs and 4 North American tours of the West End comedy Potted Potter; 2 benefit concerts for the Stephen Lewis Foundation featuring Annie Lennox, Alicia Keys, Harry Belafonte, Rufus Wainwright and others; Woody Harrelson’s theatrical production Bullet for Adolf; the world premiere of Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical; Evil Dead: The Musical; and most recently, the first production of Forever Plaid in Toronto to be staged in 20 years. 

Prior to moving to Toronto, Lani completed her MA in Ethnomusicology at Hunter College, CUNY, where she won several awards for her original research on music in Cuba. She has published articles in the Latin American Music Review (U of Texas) and ReVista- Harvard Review of Latin America. 

Lani is also an active lecturer on Cuban culture and on the board of the Lula Music and Arts Centre in Toronto. In her copious spare time, she can be found singing Bach or playing percussion in Toronto's Afro-Brazilian groups.
