Dany Lyne (MFA'93) is an author, trauma intuitive, body whisperer, CranioSacral therapist, Reiki practitioner, teacher and artist. Her writing, art and therapeutic practice are shaped by her continuing exploration of various indigenous healing technologies, yoga asana, and meditation. They are also influenced by her twenty-year artistic journey designing sets and costumes for theatre and opera across Canada, in the United States, England and Europe. 

As a set and costume designer, Dany has been the recipient of several awards including the Siminovitch Prize in Theatre in 2006 and a Dora Award in 1995.  Additionally, she has received 9 Dora nominations throughout her artistic career. She studied opera design at the Banff Centre of the Arts and holds an MFA with a specialization in design from the University of Victoria. She also has an AOCA from the Ontario College of Art & Design and a DEC from Dawson College in Montreal. Dany has taught at the Ontario College of Art & Design and at the National Theatre School of Canada. She currently lives and thrives in Toronto with big, beautiful nature everywhere.
