The site location for the Engineering Expansion Project can be found alongside Ring Road, in front of the ECS and ELW.  It is close to the existing engineering buildings and it makes use of previously undeveloped space taken up by parking lot A.

Students and staff will find that the same flow exists from building to building in the engineering cluster, however the addition of the ECSE and the HBRSL will incorporate new site features, including:

  • New plazas and large gathering spaces capable of hosting larger student works and food services
  • New pedestrian walkways to increase accessibility
  • Retention of surrounding ecosystems to encourage biodiversity and restore habitats lost to urban development.
  • New cycling parking spots, as well as spaces for temporary items such as food trucks
  • New biodiverse, stormwater swales to treat water before exiting the site.
