Sara McKinnon

As a teacher in New South Wales, in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, it’s Sara’s role to know students and how they learn. She also must know the content and how to teach it, plan for and implement effective teaching and learning, create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments, and assess, provide feedback and report on student learning.

My years at the University of Victoria, paired with my practical teaching experiences have shaped me into an educator with a passion and desire to teach; striving to help each individual reach their highest potential. I aim to build authentic relationships, while making learning meaningful. With the foundation and growth that my experience has provided me, I am now able to travel to new places and see new ways of teaching.
