Early Childhood Education

M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education Cohort 

This M.Ed. cohort is designed to bring experienced educators together for a two-year cross-disciplinary graduate program. The courses will focus on current issues and trends in early childhood education and will address a range of theories that guide early childhood studies. 

M.A. & PhD

Research focused programmes in Educational Studies with an Early Childhood focus. Students are asked to consider the expertise of faculty members in the area and working together with their supervisor, develop an individualized programme of study designed to culminate in a substantial research contribution to the field. Faculty in Early Childhood Education are interested in the following areas: 

Expertise of faculty within the area (for MA & PhD) 

• Early literacy
• International early childhood collaborations
• Global citizenship
• Indigenous knowledge systems
• Community-based research
