ABSTRACT
Abstract
From GSM to WCDMA to LTE, wireless communication technology is evolving generation by generation. Accordingly, various cellular networks are rolling out year by year all over the world. Strictly speaking, cellular network rollout is a comprehensive project consisting of wireless access network deploying and core network establishing. Generally speaking, it refers in particular to the wireless access network deployment. In this seminar, a practical case will be given for rolling out a 4G cellular network in a large city covering 10 million population over 8000 Km2. In particular, details will be elaborated on cellular network coverage planning, site acquisition and designing, and base station construction procedure. Special attentions will be paid on software, equipment as well as key technologies employed in the rollout process.
