Abstract:
Many Canadian products are either made directly by electrolysis or by reduction using electrochemical products. Some of these products will be in demand for vehicle fuel and for batteries for hybrid ICE and fuel cell electric vehicles while some have structural applications in lighter more efficient vehicles. A wide range of readily shipped electrochemical products will be important in the future. The talk puts some carbon dioxide numbers to this background and outlines some incremental steps that could accelerate the arrive of hydrogen as a fuel.
