Short Bio: Josh Woods is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and the Mitchell Professor in Intelligent Infrastructure Monitoring at Ingenuity Labs research institute at Queen's University in Kingston, ON, Canada. Josh's research covers a broad range of areas including mass timber structures, low carbon concrete structures, advanced sensing of structures using digital image correlation and distributed fibre optic sensors, and structural condition assessment using robotics and AI. The goal of this work is to ensure we have smart, sustainable, and safe infrastructure today - and for the future.
