Working towards a career in sustainable business
I'm really interested in gaining experience working for companies that care about the sustainability of their products and what it means for the environment, society and governance.
As an MBA student, I had the incredible opportunity to visit a remarkable B Corp (companies verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability).
They specialize in rescuing raw materials and transforming them into luxury lifestyle accessories. They inspired me to focus my job search focused on companies with a strong sustainability component.
What support did you access?
I attended a workshop to help me prepare for working in Canada. The way that you look for work in Canada is different than in my home country.
Caree Services gave me support and helped me understand the process. With their help, I was able to be more focused in my work search and am now working full-time for an NGO over the summer.
