2014 UVic traffic survey now released

Since 1996 the university has conducted regular comprehensive surveys of traffic access patterns to and from the campus for a typical fall (October) weekday.  The survey report from 2014 indicates that the travel modes of transit, pedestrians, vehicles with passengers and cyclists account for approximately 60% of all trips.

The university's Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program supports the use of sustainable transportation by the campus community and visitors.

The Sustainability Action Plan: Campus Operations 2014 -2019 includes a goal to increase the use of transit, cycling, walking and carpooling to 70% of the transportation modal split by 2019.
