Alumna receives Governor General’s History Award for Excellence in Teaching
On November 22nd, Janet Ruest was one of eight teachers from across Canada honoured with the Governor General’s History Award for Excellence in Teaching. This is not the first time Ruest's teaching has gained national attention. She also received the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Achievement for Teaching Excellence last spring and an innovation in geography award from the Royal Canadian Geographic Society in 2015.
