Dr. April Nowell cited in The Smithsonian magazine

New research published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences suggests that a 12,000-year-old quarry in Sunrise, Wyoming Quarry is the oldest known mine in the entire American continent.

The Smithsonian magazine cites Dr. April Nowell's 2018 quote in Live Science commenting on the many applications of red ochre in early human societies.
