November 16: Dr. Matwychuk - International Education Week

Noon to 1:00pm   Welcome Centre, University Centre Building

Dr. Margo Matwychuk, Director of UVic’s Social Justice Studies Program, will facilitate this session for students interested in participating in community-based projects in the developing world.  Special guests include:  Dr. Elizabeth Vibert, Director of the Colonial Legacies in South Africa Field School; Robyn Fila, International Internships Manager with the Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives; Allison Root, UVic graduate student and volunteer with Mosqoy, a Canadian-Peruvian charitable organization that supports Indigenous Quechua communities; and, Business student, Reilly Baldwin, who will share her experiences in Africa as part of the Me to We program.  Panel discussion with Q&A to follow.  All welcome.
