Dante Canil elected Fellow Royal Society of Canada

Dante CanilSEOS Professor Dante Canil was recently recognized for excellence in research by the Royal Society of Canada. As noted on the Royal Society web site "Dante Canil is an international leader in the study of the Earth's mantle. He has pioneered innovative research in the Earth Sciences that has revolutionized our current understanding of kimberlites, craton formation, mantle oxidation and diamonds. He is the author of numerous highly-cited research articles together with a seminal chapter in Treatise in Geochemistry." Dante will be officially inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society at the November Induction and Awards Ceremony being held in Ottawa. What a great achievement! Way to go Dante.
