Dr. Daryll Harrison was born in Vancouver and remains a West Coaster at heart. He completed his BSc in Chemistry in 1981 and his PhD in Chemistry in 1987, at the University of Victoria. Some of his fondest memories are of the Chemistry Co-op program (of which he was one of the first graduates) and the positive impact of the dedicated UVic staff.
After graduation, Daryll began his career with NOVA Chemicals, where he has taken on multiple roles including: Research Scientist; Vice President, Technology; and most recently, Vice President, 1NOVA Program Management. NOVA Chemicals has been a strong contributing member of the Canadian petrochemical sector, as well as an active partner with Canadian universities and a significant employer of Canadian-trained scientific talent, including university co-op and intern programs (with UVic since 1994).
