Safer drinking tips during COVID-19

During the global Coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic, more marginalized drinkers may have difficulty accessing alcohol. Liquor stores may limit hours and/or numbers of people in the store, move to delivery only, and/or stop accepting cash.

CISUR's Canadian Managed Alcohol Program Study (CMAPS) team, in partnership with members of the Eastside Illicit Drinkers Group for Education (EIDGE), has put together an infosheet of safer drinking tips during COVID-19.

It includes ways to make a plan for safer drinking in case of reduced alcohol availability, knowing your risk of alcohol withdrawal, counting your drinks, managing or reducing your drinking safely, buying alcohol, medications, or potential contacts if you need help.
