Canada Pension Plan Enhancement

Starting January 2019, the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) will be gradually enhanced to provide stronger benefits to eligible retiring Canadians.

The enhancement will be phased-in over a 7 year period. The University Payroll department has developed the following Bulletin to provide background and to provide an overview of the upcoming changes. Additional information can also be found on the CRA website. 

CPP contributions and benefits are completely separate from your pension plan contributions and benefits.
