New Post-Doc joins UVic Linguistics

We are excited to welcome Derek Denis from the University of Toronto to our department. Derek is a SSHRC Post-doctoral Fellow (2015–2017), specializing in language variation and change. He will be working on the origins of homogeneity in Canadian English and the potential development of linguistic regionalism with his UVic supervisor, Dr. Alexandra D’Arcy. Derek will also be teaching LING420 (Historical Linguistics) in the spring 2016 term.
