UVic's New Jean Monnet Network Grant
A new Jean Monnet Network grant was awarded to Dr. Oliver Schmidtke, the director of the Centre for Global Studies and his team. In a collaboration with UVic members (Matt James, Charlotte Schallié, Beate Schmidtke, Jordan Stanger-Ross Helga Thorson, Jodie Walsh) and particpants from three partner Universities in Europe (France, Hungary, Poland), the network focuses on developing comparative studies, organizing events and outreach activities for students and professors on the issue of European Memory Politics: Populism, Nationalism and the Challenges to a European Memory Culture.
